To the best of our ability, AIGA Portland will work to keep all parties informed of progress with the City and the Mayor's office regarding PortlandOnline.com. Johnny Levenson is currently away on vacation, but our board believes it is necessary to keep the discussion moving. A couple of weeks have passed since meeting at Souk and there has been some positive movement on the part of the City's contest organizers since that time. I will do my best to report until Johnny returns.

That's right folks, since this town is so full of designers selling their top-notch A-side work, there were not enough B-side submissions to host our originally planned event. BUT that's not stopping us from hosting our standard dMob, same bat time, same bat channel. You know the drill, cocktails and conversation, beer and blabbing, wine and ...well you get it. No more dwelling on designs that will never be, time to celebrate that A-side work. Meet new friends and check out in one of Portland's hippest new venues, The Agency.

A new program aimed at promoting sustainable practices within the design industry has been launched by AIGA Portland. To assure the degree of emphasis needed to significantly move the program forward, a new Sustainability Chair position was created on the Board and Lisa Holmes, the current Secretary, was named to the position.
