Cut and Paste Looks for Portland's Best Designers

Cut and Paste, an international digital design tournament, has announced its Call for Entries for designers to compete in its Portland event on September 21st. The audience will watch as eight top designers battle it out live in an iron-chef-like head-to-head design competition consisting of 15 minute heats. Winners of each round are determined by the following panel of judges:

Kristan Kennedy, Portland Institute for Contemporary Art
Joshua Berger, PLAZM magazine
Jose Cabaco, Wieden + Kennedy
Jason Bacon, UNKL/Giant Robot
Eric Lawrence, Ziba Design

Watching the live workspaces of participating artists projected above their heads, the crowd will cheer competitors on while a DJ spins tracks. The purpose of the event is to showcase local talent in the Pacific Northwest and share the creative process with creatives and non-creatives alike. Adobe and Wacom have signed on to make sure that the competing designers don't go home empty-handed.
Designers must enter by July 17th in order to be considered.
To enter or for more info: go to www.cutandpaste.com .

Special thanks to 52 Limited, MacForce and AIGA for their sponsorship.
