dMob FAQs:
|
A Brief History of AIGA dMobdMob’s humble story begins at a McMenamin’s pub on NW 23rd in the Fall of 2003. Dru Martin, Elmer Bancud, and a recent arrival to Portland Ryan Smythe, met to discuss the Dot Com era Portland networking phenomenon called the PINT. The three designers began brainstorming a new name and identity that would later manifest itself into what has been called dMob for well over two years. A small group of AIGA volunteers got the ball rolling by finding a venue, printing stickers and buying other designers beer. Since November of 2003 we’ve met nearly every month at various clubs and bars in Portland, Oregon spreading a good vibe and reminding people that AIGA is about community and dMob is like family. Our GoalOur goals remain the same each month: to provide inspiration, build community, and create opportunity through networking. Join us for a drink and you help to foster a better-connected design community.
